Sweet Meadow Farm Wedding // Kate + Larson
Kate and I didn't get to meet in person until about 2 weeks before her wedding day, when we met up for coffee to chat about wedding details. The moment I sat down next to her, I knew that I loved her! We instantly connected as she told me about her job, her life, and her relationship with Larson. Her sweet spirit, her laid back personality, and her infectious smile were contagious! She fully trusted me for her day, and I knew it was going to be a special one to capture.
Fast forward a couple of weeks to Kate + Larson's wedding day at Sweet Meadow Farms. It was a sunny, hot, day in the middle of June. When I say it was hot, I mean we were drenched in sweat by the end of the day! Not only was it hot, but the fabric on Kate's dress attracted so many BUGS!! She had so many bugs in the layers of her dress. And neither of them complained ONCE!
These two high school sweethearts tied the knot under the most gorgeous tree, with white linen draped across it. Kate arrived to the ceremony in a vintage taxi cab, and was escorted by her father. As the ceremony started, clouds rolled in and brought some heavy wind with it (which we were all thankful for!). Kate had been praying all day for clouds to help cool off her guests, and she got it! As soon as the ceremony was over and their guests made it over to the tent, the rain came and cooled everything off. There could not have been better timing. Kate surprised her guests by having the CUTEST choreographed dance with her father for their father daughter dance. It was the best!
I am beyond thankful that my path crossed with these two. At one point during the reception, Kate walked over to me, grabbed my arm and said "Can we stay friends after today?!" I felt so loved, appreciated, and cared for. Thank you, Kate and Larson, for for choosing me to capture your day.
