Laid Back Lyons Farmette Wedding // Shelby + Andy
It’s very rare that I actually get to meet my couples for my travel weddings beforehand. Just a few emails here, a few phone calls there, and of course some social media stalking. I’m always a little nervous when I get to weddings like that, just hoping they like me! Well, the moment that Shelby walked up to me on her wedding day, she said “I feel like we are already best friends!!!” and it truly did feel that way.
Shelby and Andy welcomed me with open arms and it honestly felt like I had known them for years. I even cried at their ceremony...only a few hours after meeting them. Throughout the day, Shelby was checking in on ME, making sure I was drinking water, had sunscreen, etc. On HER wedding day! I was blown away by her thoughtfulness and genuine care for people. Not to mention her attention to detail! From the white marble hexagon seat markers, to the slate plates, to the custom build altar (made by Andy’s father), to the special flower girl teepee (ALLLL the heart eyes for that detail)…it was all magical.
Shelby and Andy chose not to have a first look, but they still wanted to have a moment together before the ceremony. Minutes before the ceremony started, I put them back to back while they prayed and talked with each other.. This was my absolute favorite moment from their day! Both of them were so giddy hearing the other’s voice and both wanted to turn around SO badly. I was the only one that could see their reactions in this moment, and I’m so happy I was able to capture it. Their anticipation of becoming husband and wife was so precious to see!
Shelby and Andy, thank you for trusting me to come all the way to Denver to capture your beautiful day. I am beyond grateful.
