Asheville, NC Mountain Engagement // Ale + Mike
Ale and Mike drove all the way down from NEW YORK to meet me in Asheville, North Carolina for their engagement session….WHAT?! I am still blown away and so honored that they traveled all that way so that I could do take their engagement photos. Since they made such a long trek, we decided to make their session a two-day adventure and it was the most fun.
I met up with these two during their stay in Asheville and we adventured up to Max Patch (one of my favorite spots!) for part 1 of their session. We hiked to the top of the and watched the sunset as they ran around the mountain together. They snuggled together to keep warm because it was FREEZING and SO windy. They. Are. Troopers. After catching the most incredible sun set, we hiked down the mountain, thawed out, and drove back to Asheville. Ale and Mike took me to dinner at the most amazing pasta place and even let me crash at their airbnb that night!
The next day, we woke up early to finish up their shoot before their looooong drive home. We drove to Looking Glass Falls, where it was a whopping 30 degrees out plus the chill from the waterfall. Poor Ale was in a summer dress, but she didn’t complain at all! They kicked off their shoes (not sure how they didn’t get frost bite!) and I photographed them at the falls. We only spent about 15 minutes here because 1. it was freezing. and 2. They needed to hit the road for their drive home.
Of course, we had to end our time together taking photos with their pup, Kingsley!
Ale is an amazing photographer herself and you should check out her work here!
