The Inn at Serenbe Wedding // Emily + Will

Palmetto, GA

When Emily initially reached out to me about her wedding at The Inn at Serenbe, she described the vision for her day as "elegant, but casual and fun - kind of like a really nice camp for adults." And that is exactly what it was. Emily and Will opted for a more laid back feel for their day. No bridal party, no traditional cake cutting or bouquet toss, a ceremony in the woods...the entire day was relaxed, peaceful and fun. They got ready with some of their closest friends, followed by their first look under the most beautiful tree. After spending some time together and taking portraits, we headed over to their woodland ceremony, where friends and family were excitedly awaiting. Will's sister actually officiated the ceremony, which was so special!

After the ceremony, both families gathered together for a family toast in honor of Emily's late father. They opened a bottle of wine that had been gifted to Emily's parent's at their wedding, years ago, and it was saved to be opened at their first born's wedding. Both families had a toast together, and it was such a beautiful moment together before they joined their guests at the reception.

Emily and Will's day was full of meaningful moments, but my favorite part of their day was at the end of the night, they invited their guests to join them after the party for a bonfire on the property--what a fun idea!

Thank you, Emily and Will, for letting me capture your special day!
